Sometimes, you just need someone to listen
Hi my name is Dee,
Our lives can feel complicated and – at times – overwhelming.
Sometimes, we know exactly what causes us to feel this way; often, we don’t – all we know is that it feels difficult to push through alone.
Additionally, we don’t need to be in a place of overwhelm to look for help. Stopping. Pausing. Taking a breath. These are things we sometimes need to do to make sense of the world around us and make sense of where we are in life.
I can help.
I’m Dee, a person-centred counsellor offering a safe space in which you can talk honestly and without judgement. I will never tell you what you should do; you are the expert on you. My role is to listen, understand, and walk alongside you as you navigate what you’re experiencing.
I work with adults and young people aged 11 and over, tailoring sessions to what you need. This may be talking, reflecting, crying, laughing – or all the above, we don’t know.
I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation in which we can have a chat, you can ask any questions you may have, and we can explore whether I am the right support for you.

Taking a a Person-Centred approach
How I work
My person-centred approach comes down to one key principle: recognising you as the expert in your own life.
I won’t tell you what to do; I won’t give you answers. Instead, I will walk alongside you, giving you the space and time to explore what is happening for you.
I aim to offer a warm, compassionate and collaborative relationship where you can be yourself without fear of judgement. I’ll listen with empathy and curiosity, at your pace
Forget any concerns you may have about finding the ‘right’ words or having a plan for what you want to achieve. I will create for you space and time to pause, reflect, and understand yourself, allowing you to reconnect with your strengths, resources, and inner voice.
In doing this, I hope that our work together will help you gain clarity, build resilience, and feel more confident about your next steps.
Dee W-Jones Therapy
A little about me.
Like many counsellors, it was my own experience of being counselled and accessing therapy that gave me the opportunity to learn more about myself and develop a passion for talking therapies.
That experience influenced my desire to become a counsellor and deeply influenced my approach to sessions. I am genuinely passionate about helping people develop a better understanding of who they are, what they need, and where they want to be.
Additionally, I have a particular interest in supporting women through the additional challenges that come with perimenopause, menopause, and midlife. I know how easy it can be to lose sight of yourself when life is changing from every direction.
I have a Diploma in Counselling Adults, Children and Young People. Alongside my private practice, I work with parents, children, and young people in other professional therapeutic sessions.
